Linda Corkery
Associate Professor, Landscape Architecture
University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia
Linda Corkery is a landscape architect and planner with over 25 years of professional practice experience in Australia, the United States and Hong Kong. In 1999, she joined the University of New South Wales as Head of Program for Landscape Architecture. She is currently Director, International and Community Engagement for the Faculty of the Built Environment. Linda teaches design studios and environmental sociology, while her research focuses on people-place-design relationships, design education and education for sustainability. As a practitioner, her project work has emphasized design of early childhood play and learning environments, urban open space planning and design, and community-based processes for planning and design.
