About Hawaii: The Islands of Aloha

The fresh, floral air energizes you. The warm, tranquil waters refresh you. The breathtaking, natural beauty renews you. There’s no place on earth like Hawaii.

Step off the plane and it is as if the volume on your senses has been turned up. Smell the fresh plumeria in the air. See sapphire seas, emerald valleys, and halos of rainbow arches. Feel the warm radiance of the sun on your cheeks while a cool rush of ocean water sucks the sand from between your toes.

It's no secret that the Islands of Aloha are a scenic paradise for the senses. An exploration of the rich cultural history of the Hawaiian people makes your visit to the islands even richer. With so much to experience, you'll find the warm embrace of Hawaii waiting for you.

Discover for yourself why the six Islands of Hawaii are home to treasures unlike any others on earth — the dramatic cliffs of the Napali Coast on Kauai…the vibrant shores of Waikiki Beach on Oahu…the miles of white sands of Papohaku Beach on Molokai… the tranquil waters of Hulopoe Bay in Lanai…the summit of Haleakala Crater on Maui…the primal energy of Kilauea Volcano on Hawaii's Big Island.

Aloha means more than "hello" and "goodbye." It's the warmth you feel from the moment you arrive. It's the friendliness, hospitality, and generosity you'll discover from everyone you encounter, from the hotel concierge to the people on the street. It's the love the people of Hawaii have for their home, their heritage, and each other.

Perhaps it was the ancient Polynesians who first arrived on the Islands who brought this sense of Aloha. Perhaps Aloha is a result of Hawaii's spectacular environment nurtured by a melting pot of cultures and ethnicities. Perhaps more than any of its incomparable natural wonders and diversions, the Aloha Spirit is what truly makes Hawaii unique. During your visit to Hawaii you'll discover what Aloha means to you.

Oahu: The Gathering Place

Oahu certainly lives up to its name: The Gathering Place. The third largest island in the Hawaiian chain, Oahu is home to the majority of Hawaii’s diverse population, a fusion of East and West cultures rooted in the values and traditions of the native Hawaiian people.

Home to 80% of Hawaii’s population, the state capitol of Honolulu, and world famous Waikiki beach, Oahu is often the first stop for Hawaii visitors. Because this is such an active and vibrant island with so much variety, there’s no shortage of things to do here…

In Honolulu…

Honolulu is the vibrant epicenter of Hawaii. Here you’ll find everything from historic buildings and treasured monuments to world-class shopping, sun drenched beaches, and a flourishing arts and culture scene.

On the Windward Coast…

Set beneath the towering green slopes of the Koolau mountains, the Windward side offers a scenic alternative to Waikiki, with it’s dramatic ocean views, quiet beaches, and lush vistas.

On the North Shore…

This fabled coast is legendary for its perfect winter waves and professional surf competitions. When the waves are tamer during the summer, the beaches offer peaceful places to swim and sunbathe.

In Central Oahu…

The fertile central valley between the Waianae Mountains and Ko’olau range offers a peak into Oahu’s plantation past. Historic Pearl Harbor, the largest natural harbor in Hawaii, sits to the south.

On the Leeward Coast…

At the foot of the 4000 foot Waianae mountain range and less than 30 miles from Waikiki, the Leeward Coast is peppered with beautiful beaches. Luxurious resorts reside in the Ko Olina Marina.
