Working Forum on Nature Education for Young Children

Arbor Day Farm, Nebraska City, Nebraska, USA
July 21 - 23, 2008

The 2006 Working Forum on Nature Education, at the Arbor Day Farm, was a huge success. The event was sold out two months in advance and the evaluations from attendees were off the charts. This follow-up Forum will dig deeper into strategies to pursue in connecting children of the world with nature. Attendees will include 280 early childhood educators, environmental activists, landscape architects, and community planners.


NACC Leadership Team

This Working Forum is being planned by a Leadership Team of the Nature Action Collaborative for Children, consisting of early childhood leaders, environmental activists, and planners/architects from six continents. Sponsorship is sought for team members from communities with limited financial resources.
Sponsorship per team member = $3,500


NACC Leadership Team Networking Fund

This fund is being established to enable members of the NACC Leadership team to promote nature education for young children by representing the NACC at major international educational, environmental, and design conferences.
Shared Fund Sponsorship = $6,000
Exclusive Fund Sponsorship = $18,000


Opening Reception for Working Forum

Sponsorship = $6,500


Refreshment Breaks for Delegates

Sponsorship per break = $2,500


Capturing Content of the Forum

The presentations and activities of this Working Forum will be captured using video and still photography. The material thus gathered will be used to develop advocacy materials in print and on CD and to share the results of the Forum on the Nature Education section of the World Forum web site.
