Reeta Sonawat
Dr. Reeta Sonawat is Professor, Department of Human Development, SNDT Women's University. She was Head, Child Development Department, Banasthali Vidyapith, Banasthali and Reader, Women & Child Development, National Institute of Social Sciences, Indore. She did her Masters and Doctorate in Child Development from the University of Jabalpur. Her post doctoral research, was on 'Integrated Kindergarten and Primary Schools' at the University of Bremen, Germany. She underwent training in 'Early Childhood Education: Children with Reading Difficulties' at Golda Meir Mount Carmel Institute and Training Center, Haifa, Israel and has done a certificate course on 'Qualitative Research as a Summer Programme in Social and Cultural Psychiatry', McGill University, Canada.
She was selected as one of the Global Leaders in Early Childhood Education at the World Forum 2005, Montreal. Dr. Sonawat is a recipient of National Award for Teacher Trainer in innovative training, Faculty Research Fellowship of Shastri Indo Canadian Institute and the University Teachers Fellowship of the Rotary Foundation. She is a prolific writer, has presented her work at various National and International conferences, seminars, symposia, and authored/co-authored several research articles and books.
