Field Report: Cost Effectiveness in Serving Children with Disabilities in Nepal

Deepak Raj Sapkota of Nepal shares the following video documentary by the Karuna Foundation on developing an effective Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) model in Nepal.

Mr. Sapkota notes, “In 2015, an independent Health Economist from Royal Tropical Institute of Holland carried out a cost-effectiveness and efficiency assessment of the Inspire2Care program, 2011-2013, a Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) program of Karuna Foundation Nepal, specific to children with disabilities.  Our CBR model has been categorized as one of the highly cost effective programs.  It’s quite a unique assessment and it will help to make a more effective reach to the thousands of children with disabilities living in remote areas.
